OtterBox cases have been a long time favorite of mine, and now they now have a total of three cases for the BlackBerry Curve 8520. We’re going to show you the three different levels of protection you can get from OtterBox for your BlackBerry Curve 8520. It starts off with the Impact Series which is more like a skin, just tougher. It’s the one we recommend for the average user day to day. The Impact series protects your device from everyday bumps or drops, just nothing too extreme. Their mid-level case is the Commuter Series which brings both the Impact Series and the Defender Series (which we’ll show you next). The Commuter case brings a smaller design, with silicon skin to go over it. Last but definitely not least is the Defender Series which is OtterBox’s most durable case for BlackBerry models. It features three layers of protection and a durable plastic holster. The Defender case gives you the most protection from drops, bumps, dust and shocks.

Pricing:
Pricing varies on the different cases by OtterBox. Think of it as depending on the level of protection you’re looking to get. For example the Impact Series, which is similar to a silicon skin runs you only $19.95, the Commuter Series, which is the mix between extreme durable, and silicon skin is $34.95, last is the Defender Series which provides the most protection from extreme conditions. It will run you $49.95. All prices are in American dollars.

Final Thoughts:
It always seems no matter what OtterBox case I’m impressed. They provide the best of protection, decent prices, and a high quality product. I would recommend the Impact Series to anyone looking for a day to day skin with a bit more protection. Included in the packaging was a screen protector to cover the display. The Commuter Series is recommended to those looking for good protection with less bulk. Unfortunately it doesn’t provide a holster to clip into. Last part of the OtterBox family is the case which made their name known. It’s the Defender Series which focuses on maximum protection from rough environments. With this case it will take pretty much anything you throw at it. Included with the Defender Series is a plastic holster, and three layer case.
