Powermat’s new Powerpak Batteries, Single and Portable Charging Pads
CES 2010 may be over now, but I’m still sorting through some of the awesome new accessories shown off this year. The guys from IntoMobile got to spend some time with Powermat to go over their new products, which include the Powerpak batteries, Single charging mat, and the new portable rechargeable mats. Since we first took a look at Powermat back in October, they’ve really stepped up their game! Powermat is one of my favorite gadgets to set on my desk, or beside table. One of the most popular new products that Powermat plans to introduce in the coming months is the Powerpak. The Powerpak is a standard OEM sized battery featuring a battery and Powermat receiver all in one. This means you no longer require the bulky battery door receivers on your device. Powermat plans to introduce the Powerpak for several devices (including the Bold 9700 and HTC Hero/myTouch in the video). Pricing is expected to be approximately $39.99 for the Powerpak, and they should be available by June 2010. But wait, they’ve got more! Powermat also plans to introduce their new smaller single charging pad (perfect for bed side tables), as well new portable rechargeable wireless charging mats (in single or double size). Those new toys will be arriving between April and Q3 2010. So looks like Powermat has some very exciting new toys coming up in the near future, and with any luck we’ll be testing some of them out.
