Spracht Aura EQ Bluetooth Headset and Personal Sound Amplifier
Just ahead of CES 2010, Spracht has just introduced a very unique Bluetooth headset for mobile phones. It’s the only Bluetooth headset that I’ve seen on the market featuring both Bluetooth for hands-free conversation, and a personal local sound amplifier to help boost conversations around you. The Aura EQ Bluetooth headset is expected to go on sale this March for approximately $99.

- Capacitive Volume Control. No more ‘blindly’ trying to find buttons on your earpiece to lower or increase the volume. With Capacitive Volume Control, the outer shell of the unit is also the invisible volume control mechanism; all you see is the cool design of the product itself. Just rub your finger on your earpiece from back to front, or front to back to raise/lower the volume level – it’s that simple!
- 8 Frequency Band Equalizer. Hearing is a delicate resource, degraded by both age and environmental factors such as loud music, work noise or urban living. Few people have perfect hearing no matter their age. This feature allows you to adjust the EQ to your personal hearing preferences to improve verbal recognition without the stigma attached to wearing a hearing device. The Aura EQ HeadsetTM comes with 3 preset EQ settings for the most common loss points, plus a completely user adjustable mode. Once set, the settings are saved as your personal settings until you change them.
- High Output Amplifier. Most Bluetooth devices have a fixed amplifier built into the chip. The Aura EQ HeadsetTM adds an external amplifier to increase the volume when needed, with up to 25% more volume.
- 3 Microphone DSP Design. The Aura EQ HeadsetTM utilizes 3 microphones. One is for Bluetooth conversations on your cell phone which is focused on your mouth, one for local amplified local conversations which is focused in front of you, and one used as the ambient noise filter, for crisp, clear sound in any environment and mode.
- Small Light Weight Design. Size and weight are comparable to any BT earset. And, it is unobtrusive: wear it anywhere you want to hear better. Board rooms, bars, trade shows, watching TV, etc.
- Full Duplex Communications. Like a high end conference phone, you can talk and hear at the same time when on your cell phone.
- The Latest CSR BlueCoreTM 5 Multimedia Chip. This is the latest BT technology allowing for multipoint conversations, 3 way calling and other features.
- USB Quick Rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery. Charges from dead to full in under 2 hours.
