Review: Incipio dermaSHOT for Apple iPad

In the past I’ve used many Incipio products for both iPhone and BlackBerry, and I thought now would be a good time to see how their iPad products worked for me. I’ve just received the Incipio dermaSHOT case from our very own Accessorize Mobile Shop. These cases are a tough silicon skin to protect your iPad from every day wear and tear, plus give it some grip. I don’t know how many times I have almost dropped my iPad without a case on it, and now I don’t have to worry. If you want to skip the review and pick up on of these skins click here. Check out my detailed pictures below to get a up close look at this case.

When you open the box you will notice that the skin feels pretty thick, and that it will take quite the shock if you knock around your iPad sometimes, by accident of course. Included in the box is a fitted screen protector, which seemed to go on fairly clear (although I’ll admit its not easy to put one on a screen this huge). Incipio also included huge microfiber cloth to clean that giant display and keep finger prints off.
Wondering why I decided on this particular case? I’ve had a chance to use many different cases for the iPad, however my iPad primarily stays at home, therefore I didn’t think I needed a porfolio style case. The Incipio dermaSHOT provides lot of rubber for grip, so I don’t have to worry about dropping it. Besides that the dermaSHOT series for the iPad has a great price tag (under $35) with screen protector.
Final Thoughts: As I said above I would recommend this case to pretty much anyone who won’t be traveling with their iPad. The Incipio dermaSHOT case brings a tough feel silicon layer for my iPad, with a smooth to touch type material. I love the fact that Incipio included a decent quality screen protector in box with the case so you don’t have to worry about getting the display scratched. Perhaps my only compliant, and it’s really tiny… I wish this particular case had the cut out to show the Apple logo in the middle of the back. Incipio did leave a blank square on the back, which I found was great for one handed use, but I wish it showed the Apple logo like similar skins. Check out our gallery of pictures below to see the dermaSHOT for iPad up close.
Where to Buy? The dermaSHOT series from Incipio is available in black, grey, pink and blue for $31.30 from the Accessorize Mobile Shop.

Disclamer: You will notice a few small bubbles in the screen protector on my iPad. I am yet to put a screen protector perfectly on my iPad, as the display is huge. The actual quality of the screen protector included in this package is pretty good. I just messed it up.
