Case-Mate Promotes Environmental Responsibility with Launch of Recyclable iPhone 4/4S Case Collection

ATLANTA, May 9, 2012 – Tech lovers can now protect their phones while also helping the environment. Case-Mate®, the international design company known for creating innovative mobile accessories that protect, adorn, and enhance mobile technology, today announced a special rPET (recyclable PET) case collection for the iPhone 4/4S made out of 100% recycled post-consumer PET bottles.

“As part of our greater effort to encourage more sustainable practices, we’ve introduced a line of fashionable, functional and environmentally responsible cases,” said Shashi Reddy, Case-Mate’s Chief Executive Officer. “By creating Case-Mate products using recycled materials, we’re helping millennials stay stylish and environmentally conscious.”

In order to convey that one doesn’t have to sacrifice style and functionality to be environmentally responsible, Case-Mate will highlight this new collection as part of the DASANI® Designed to Make a Difference® experiential tour, which kicked off on April 17th at Saint Catherine University in Minnesota. The tour consists of approximately 50 event days spanning college campuses, amusement parks, and music festivals from April through October. The DASANI “Designed to Make a Difference” tour provides a refreshing look at recycling through two interactive activations: the Designed to Make a Difference Gallery and Xtreme Recycling game.

The Designed to Make a Difference Gallery will display products made using recycled plastic bottles, such as the Case-Mate rPET case collection. In addition, more than five thousand rPET cases will be given away as prizes in the Xtreme Recycling game, during which people will use air guns to launch empty DASANI bottles at a recycling-themed facade. The HTC One S is getting ready to launch in Canada and the United States. Case-Mate has just announced their first two cases for HTC’s new One smartphone. Case-Mate will be launching the Barely There series in four colors (black, white, pink, purple) for $25 each. Case-Mate will also be launching their Tough Case for the One S in black and black/pink for $35 each. Both cases are not available yet, but Case-Mate says they’re coming soon, so stay tuned. The Nokia Lumia 900 has just made its way to Canada and the United States, and Case-Mate is already ready to protect it. Case-Mate Announces Cases for the new iPad launch March 15th

Normally we cover smartphone accessories, but every once in a while we sneak in tablet accessories too. With Apple’s announcement of the new iPad yesterday, we thought we would show you Case-Mate’s new iPad case selection. Case-Mate plans to introduce seven new iPad cases in various colors, with most of them being available on March 15th. New Case-Mate Snap Case for iPhone 4/4S Snaps Out with a Kickstand

It’s no secret I like really cool iPhone cases, and the new Snap Case from Case-Mate definitely has my attention. This case is inspired by snap bracelets, it protects your iPhone 4/4S and then when it need you have a handy kickstand to snap out. The Snap Case is available in three vibrant color combinations and retails for $30 each. It’s hard to understand how this case works until you watch the video below, basically you press the kickstand and it bends out (like a snap bracelet) to form into a kickstand. Review: Case-Mate Pop! with Stand for iPhone 4/4S

The first time we checked out the Pop! case from Case-Mate, I knew it would be a huge success. A while ago, Case-Mate unveiled a couple new additions to their Pop! family of cases for the iPhone 4/4S. For the past week or so I have been testing out the new Pop! with Stand for my 4S and while I never thought I would find a use for the kickstand, I have. The kickstand that pops out of the back of the case is designed to put your iPhone at an optimal viewing angle for multimedia or video chatting. While I don’t watch a lot of media on my iPhone, I found the Pop! with Stand with perfect for FaceTime and Skype video chats.

If you’ve ever owned a Pop! case before then you know they aren’t too bulky, have rubber grips on the side and front of the case, and make your device feel super protected. The new Pop! with Stand is very similar, although you get a little more thickness than a normal Pop! case. The Pop! with Stand is designed for all iPhone 4 and 4S models, and provides access to all ports and buttons easily.

One (very small) compliant about this case is how large the camera hole is on this case. While the iPhone 4S does require a bigger camera hole, due to the stronger flash, the Pop! case camera hole loves to collect dust.

Finally lets talk about the side rubberized grips. In short they’re great! I’m the kind of person who carries my iPhone around in my hand, and I found this case provides great grip in the hand. Now with that being said, because I carry the phone around a lot, I do drop it from time to time. The Pop! case provides lot of protection from bumps and drops. I tested dropping my iPhone from about a 6-foot drop on a concreate floor, the case took it like a champ, with no issue or damage.

In closing, the Pop! with Stand is a very stylish case that provides lots of protection for your iPhone. All ports on this case provide easy access to volume toggle, headphone jack, and dock connector to charge or sync. The Pop cases from Case-Mate are available in tons of awesome color combinations or straight. The case we reviewed is the cool grey/citron color combination and can be found on Case-Mate’s website. The Samsung Galaxy Note is a huge 5.3″ tablet/phone and with a device that size, a good quality case is needed. Case-Mate recently introduced two of their popular cases for the Galaxy Note, including the thin Barely There Series and the Tough Case.
